Who Am I?
Marie is a traditional painter and has been creating since 2002. Her mediums of choice include Acrylic and Oil paint. Her unique style comes from a combination of surrealism and contemporary art with a dash of Baroque. Marie also prides herself on the variety of her work and loves to expand her creative horizons.
Marie is completely self taught, with the exception of one college art class at her community college. She has exhibited her works throughout the Tri-State area, including a group art show in New York City.
Her Art career has also taken her on the journey and joy of teaching others her techniques and how to paint in a simple, relaxing, and enjoyable way. She has taught many classes over the years, in a variety of classroom settings- from casual paint and sip to adult art classes. Marie has an affinity for teaching children over any other student.
“They are more connected with their imagination, more willing to be free. They have a tendency to be harder on themselves but are more willing to let go of those expectations, once they see what they can do with a brush in their hands. It’s truly inspiring.”
